Questions
Frequently Asked
If something isn't answered here, you're welcome to call or send a message.
How do I know which service my watch needs?
Bring it in and we'll have a look. We carry out a no-charge initial assessment and explain what we find in plain language. You decide whether to proceed. For quartz watches showing timing issues or a flat battery, the Battery, Seal & Strap Refresh is usually the right starting point. For automatic or manual watches that haven't been serviced in several years, the Complete Movement Overhaul is worth considering. Antique or sentimental pieces often suit the Collector's Restoration Programme.
How long does each service take?
A Battery, Seal & Strap Refresh is typically completed within two to three working days. A Complete Movement Overhaul generally takes two to four weeks, depending on the movement and any parts that may be needed. The Collector's Restoration Programme is staged and individually planned — we discuss a realistic timeline with you before work begins, and we keep you updated along the way.
Are the service prices fixed?
The prices shown — RM 560 for a Battery, Seal & Strap Refresh, RM 2,280 for a Complete Movement Overhaul, and RM 4,390 for the Collector's Restoration Programme — are the base fees for each service. If anything during assessment suggests additional work is needed, we will contact you to discuss it before proceeding. No additional charges are applied without your knowledge.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work on a wide range of timepieces — including Swiss, Japanese, and vintage Malaysian-market watches. If you have a particularly specialised or rare calibre, get in touch first and we'll let you know honestly whether we're the right fit. We'd rather be straightforward than take on a watch we can't serve properly.
How do I bring in my watch?
You can walk in during our studio hours at 15, Lorong Maarof, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. If you'd prefer to arrange a specific time, use the contact form below or give us a call — we're happy to set aside a quiet moment for the handover. We accept watches in person only; we do not offer postal handling for watches.
What does the written condition report include?
After each service, we provide a brief written document that describes the watch received, the work carried out, and — for movement overhauls — the accuracy reading after regulation. It's written in plain English, not technical notation, so you have a clear record of what was done and when.
